Finley is ONE!
Finley Maeve Coffman is now a big one year old! She weighs approximately 21 lbs, is 90th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight, can sign “more”, “nurse”, and “bye-bye”, can run AND walk, and has now verified that she loves CAKE!

Although she was sick for her actual birthday, the next weekend we had a great family party over at Mom-mom’s house followed by a hysterical playdate at our house the following Monday. I am cherishing the memories we are making with these two little princesses.
Onto more exciting news: The Coffmans are taking their first vacation in 17 days!!!!! Disney World here we come!! Look forward to picks!
We have teeth!
Well folks, our toothless wonder is toothless no longer!
Little Girl didnt mess around- 4 at once! Poor thing was on such a roll lately- walking, teeth, really keeping up with Brie… and now her birthday is just 2 days away and the poor muffin is very sick
We had to postpone her birthday party… hopefully she wont notice
Christmas ‘08

This was Finley’s first Christmas EVER and Brielle’s first Christmas that she truely understood the excitement of Santa, the story of Jesus and his impact on us, and all of the beautiful family time associated with it all! It was, by far, the best Christmas Ive ever had. Seeing their little faces light up watching Christmas movies or being SO interested in the story of Bethlehem just made me enjoy everything so much more! Bob and I really loved starting new traditions with our growing family. We had a light show and cocoa party with the Ferruzza crew that was tons of fun. An elf also came to live with us during the month of December, sent by Santa himself
Brielle named him “Holly” and he would go to the North Pole each night to report to Santa about Brielle’s day. Each morning he would position himself in a different spot around the house for Brielle to find. On Christmas Eve he left the girls a few presents, including pajamas to wear that night and a letter saying that he would see them next year. Brielle cried hysterically for 30 minutes when she realized that Holly was leaving- the sweetest, most heartbreaking cry that Bob and I have ever seen! I will be so excited for Holly’s arrival next year!
On Christmas Brielle was excited to recieve a new My Little Pony, a tea party set that she could paint, and a Leapfrog learning center that helps her learn to read (all from Santa). Mom-mom got her a new baby named “Ally” and a really cool scooter, as well as various other toys. Finley was happy with tissue paper and boxes, but I think she will enjoy the gifts left inside as well as time goes on.
On Dec. 31st, 2008 Bob and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary by going on a date (without kids!) and then coming home for a game night with Beth and Matt. Bob proves to be the best teammate I could have EVER asked for and I cant imagine loving him anymore than I do- yet everyday it grows. He is an amazing father, companion, and lover. No words can describe how blessed I feel with this man in my life.
In the coming month we will be celebrating Finley’s FIRST birthday and this mommy is feeling such a mixture of emotions. The past year has been my best yet, and the addition of this princess has everything to do with that. I feel complete! She has been exclusively breasfed since birth, and now has added a hearty diet of mostly meat, veggies, and pretzels to her diet. She crawls faster than some people can walk, and just recently started walking (of course Brielle has been eager to teach her).
Brielle is quite the little mommy. She is a confident but sensitive child who makes me break out in hysterical laughter multiple times each day.
Overall- things have been going great! Watch for Finley’s birthday pics to come
Bad Mommy!
Shame on me for taking so long to post new pics of my precious little family! Really, their cuteness MUST be shared with the world
Brielle is now 33 months old, turning 3 years old in September. She has expressed a request for everything pink for her birthday. Finley is 4 months old… omg 4 freaking months old! I feel as though she was just born yesterday, yet she has been a part of our life forever.
Ok, Im off to try and upload pics!

Weighing in at 8lbs 11ozs, Finley Maeve Coffman was born January 24th, 2008 at 10:16pm. Baby and family are doing well! Brielle LOVES the new addition to the CoffmanCrew, proclaiming that Finley is her baby and constantly wanting to hold/snuggle her. YAY!!! I’ll try to upload pictures of the birth and of our newest little angel soon
Waiting to deliver!!!
Currently we are at FMH hospital in the labor and delivery room. We are having contractions and are moving along as well as one could ask. We hope to meet Finley Maeve before the end of the day. Stay tuned for more to come…
Filed under General | Comment (1)The most wonderful time of the year…

Being that Brielle was old enough to truly enjoy/understand Christmas this year- it proved to be a hysterically fun event. Who knew a wrapped plastic baby doll could provide such material for enjoyment??? Brielle seemed to have a wonderful Christmas. Go check out her pics ![]()

On another note- we have reached 36 weeks!!! She is gaining about an ounce a day at this point, and probably now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She’s shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, she will be considered full-term. At my OB appt this past week she was in a head-down position and my cervix was a finger-tip dilated! Being that Im feeling close to the size of a beached whale, Im hoping she decides to make an appearance soon!
A beautiful poem…
I love these words, they remind me whenever I read them to cherish each day.
She is only this little for such a short period of time! Thanks Sally!
Just for this day.
Just for this morning, I am going to smile whenever I see your face.
and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you wake up softly, all rumpled in your
flannel and I will hold you until you are ready.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and
smile and say you’re beautiful.
Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you
up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning, I am going to eat a huge breakfast , with bacon
eggs, toast and waffles, and you don’t have to eat any.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you
teach me how to put that 100 piece puzzle together.
Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the
computer off, and sit with you in the garden blowing bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble
when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won’t worry about what you are going to be
when you grow up or who you might have been before your diagnosis.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won’t
stand over you trying to ‘fix’ things.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you put all kinds of barettes in my
hair, and put lipstick on my face, and I will tell you how pretty you have made me look.
Just for this afternoon I will take you to McDonalds and buy us both a
Happy meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story
about how you were born, and how much we love you.
Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the bathtub and not get
angry when you throw water over your sister’s head.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the
porch swing and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will bring you glasses of water, and snuggle
beside you for three hours and miss my favorite show on t.v.
Just for this evening, When I kneel down to pray, I will simply be
grateful for all that I have and not ask for anything, except
just one more day.

Our awesome baby shower!

Yesterday, surrounded by many of our family and friends, we celebrated the coming of our new baby girl. It was such awesome mayhem! The house was packed, the kids were playing, and there was lots of belly rubbing going on
My Mom made some really yummy crock pot dishes and Bethie had the house all decorated in our nursery colors! Our lil babe got some adorable gifts as well, and I cannot WAIT to meet her so she can model them for us. Brielle had a blast at the party as well, as there were cupcakes involved. I think she does know that something big is going on, she just doesnt understand what. She tells me that baby “Fin” lives in my belly and baby “Avie” lives in her belly. Im so excited for her to meet her lil sister, and now everything seems much more real. Today I am 31 weeks, 2 days pregnant- so we will meet her sooner than we know it!
26 weeks and new family pics!
Today is 26 weeks- yay! My littlest lady is still being a sweetie in my belly- much more calm than Brielle, just giving me some rolling movements in the evenings to let me see her groove. Of course, if she would let go of my sciatic nerve… well lets just say Mommy would be ever so thankful. Her development lately: She now weighs about 2 pounds and measures about 14 inches, from head to heel. The nerve pathways in her ears are developing, which means her response to sounds is growing more consistent. Her lungs are developing now, too, as she continues to take small breaths of amniotic fluid.
Also, recently we got our now annual pics done with the lovely Lisa Urland from Focus On You Photography.

Ive added the rest of the pics from our shoot in the gallery ![]()
