Our Love ;)

How we met…

Her Version…
While away at college, my friend and I decided to throw a party. We swapped each other’s cell phones, dialed every person in the phonebook list, and one of the people I called on her phone was Bobby. He was at a club in Baltimore, but said I “sounded cute” and left the club to come meet me. Despite my initial evasion to his initial come-ons, he persisted. He kept me up all night that night, and when I complained the next day that I was sleepy in class, he stocked my refrigerator top to bottom with star bucks drinks. After that display of affection, I just had to award him with a date!

His Version…
One night My friend Ben and I were hanging out in Baltimore when I got a call. Caller ID said it was my friend Jen, but when I answered it was an unfamiliar voice. She introduced herself as Brittany, and I proceeded to flirt with her. She sounded really cute on the phone, and she was inviting us to come hang out at a party her and Jen was having. I rounded up Ben and told him what was going on and we dropped everything and went for a drive. About 90 minutes later we showed up at their place and the party consisted of Jen, Ben, Brittany and I. I knew the first time I laid eyes on her that she was going to be someone special in my life. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

The engagement…

Her Version…
Since I started my PA program in Philadelphia, our time together has been confined to every weekend. That particular weekend, he told me he had to work on Saturday morning, but to make the time apart up to me, he said he would take me to lunch. While driving home from work he called and said that he would call again when he approached the apartment so that I could run out and meet him. He was running very late and I was beginning to become cranky (funny in hindsight, huh?). When he called, I grabbed my jacket and as I swung open the door to leave, I found him down on bended knee holding a rose. The look on his face said it all, and although he said many kind things, all I remember was that he started with “I’ve known since the moment I met you”… and ended with “will you marry me?” I fell to my knees, sobbed with joy in his arms, and told him “yes!” with my whole heart!

His Version…
Wow! Where do I start! One of the biggest days in my life. Well it started out by Brittany thinking I had to work on a Saturday morning. When in fact I took a long drive up to Pennsylvania to the jewelry store I had the ring being designed at. I arrive at the store and the owner goes in the back to find the ring for me. He brings the ring out to show me and my heart skips a beat at how perfect and beautiful it turned out. I knew Brittany was going to flip when she saw it, it was so amazing how that ring caught the beauty of our love. Mean while what I had planned to take 30 minutes or less ended up taking 90+ minutes. So now I’m really sweating because I’m running late and I don’t want Brittany to catch on. I call Brittany and told her that I ran into some problems at work and that I was going to be late but to be ready when I got there so we could leave right away for lunch. I knew I couldn’t wait…I was going to ask her to marry me as soon as I saw her. As I get back to Frederick I had to stop and get a hair cut and flowers of course, so this made me even later. But finally I get home and go up to my apartment. I got everything set and called Brittany and told her I was downstairs waiting for her. I bent down on one knee and waited which seemed like forever for my Brittany to open the door. The door opened and she said yes!!!
